Welcome

Cord & Flame is a game for couples, owned and operated by Faith Flow Technologies Inc. of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada ("we", "us", "our"). By using Cord & Flame you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Who may use Cord & Flame

Cord & Flame is for adults aged 18 and over who are in a committed relationship and who both choose to play. Please do not use it with anyone who has not freely agreed to play with you.

What Cord & Flame is, and is not

Cord & Flame offers playful prompts, questions and small activities to help couples laugh, talk and feel close. It is not counselling, therapy, medical advice or a substitute for professional help. If your relationship is in difficulty, please speak with a licensed counsellor. If you are ever unsafe, contact your local emergency services.

Every card is an invitation

Every card is an invitation, never an obligation. Either of you can pass on any card, or stop playing, at any time and for any reason. Never use Cord & Flame to pressure, embarrass or coerce anyone. Physical prompts are meant only for willing partners and only in ways you are both comfortable with.

Your privacy

What you type is never saved. If you play on two phones, it travels encrypted between your two phones and is then discarded. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we do and do not collect. It forms part of these terms.

Accounts

Accounts are optional and are for adults aged 18 and over. Please keep access to your email secure, because it is how you sign in. You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend accounts used to misuse the service.

Churches

Churches that use a Cord & Flame church code agree to share it freely and without pressure. Pastors and church leaders must not try to identify which couples are playing, and must not ask couples to show their answers. We may suspend a church code that is misused.

Using Cord & Flame fairly

Please do not misuse Cord & Flame or our contact form, try to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems, copy or resell our content, or use Cord & Flame for anything unlawful.

Our content

The name Cord & Flame, our logo, design, prompts and other content belong to Faith Flow Technologies Inc. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use Cord & Flame for your own private, non-commercial enjoyment.

A free service that may change

Cord & Flame is currently free. We may add, change or remove features or content, or pause the service, at any time. If we introduce paid features, we will explain the terms clearly before you pay anything.

No guarantees

We work hard to make Cord & Flame lovely and reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no promises about any particular result for your relationship, and we are not responsible for how you choose to act on any prompt.

Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Faith Flow Technologies Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of Cord & Flame. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

Law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of Alberta, unless the law where you live gives you a different right.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will let you know in the app.
